On this page we will show some examples of gifts we have made. The occasion may be almost anything and we offer choices of baskets or other containers, gift boxes of different styles and sizes, and paper or other gift bags. All our gifts have our signature hand made bow.
This is one of the most popular segments now. There are thousands of ex-pats allover the world, who miss their Finnish roots. Some of them have found our gifting services and order regularly for their loved ones. We have made gifts for some families as long as we have operated - almost 20 years. It is really nice! But we also have many other international customers who have friends, family or business aquantances in Finland. We get more and more orders from abroad, and are happy to serve! Some of our local rules and regulations come as a surprise, but you may read our FAQ to be on the safe side! Christmas is not the only time we get international orders, birthdays and Mother's Day are other peaks.
And even if a gift basket is fabulous and wonderful to give and get, sometimes it is wiser to use the budget on products and pack them in a paper bag or a practical box.
This is our main field of expertise! In the course of years, we have made thousands and thousands of corporate gifts and made many arrangements with companies. Some wish to have identical gifts for any occasion for their staff, another orders unique and individual gifts for those staff members who have a 10-year-anniversary. Their only request is a bow in their corporate color. Some companies ask us to add an item with company's logo inside. We have prepared gifts for some store chains with imprinted stickers and cards. Surely the personnel appreciates gift boxes filled with goodies. We have made fabulous baskets for a jury of an entreprenuer competion and even the competitors.
This level of tailoring may not be available elsewhere. But we also love to make these!
Since our begininnig in 2006, corporate customers have been essential for Gift Gourmet. Often the occasion is to thank the recipient: thank for a job well done, good cooperation, a joint project, or just thanking for being a good customer. Many entrepreneurs or companies have formed good relations with their customers. We can tell that by reading the texts printed on the cards attached to gifts. A good relationship with a client is valuable for both parties and it's wise to cherish that. Also we take notice on those employers who give generous gifts for their employees, when they have a baby, get married, change jobs or positions, or when it's time to send condolences. A gift basket sends warm greetings in any occasion, and it means a lot to the employee.
Here in Finland we celebrate Vappy on 30th April, That is a carneval party day for students, workers and everyone else. One year a customer ordered Vappu baskets for their clients, with all the essential things in them. For others they wanted to have hangover baskets, to be delivered after Vappu. Those we made into pink buckets. That was a fun assignment! The basic idea was to thank customers for their patronage, but they did in a different way.
A nice small corporate gift is to put chocolates or other treats in a mug (with a logo), wrap them into cellophane and attach a nice bow. This is great for new customers, as a referral gift or a give-away in trade shows. They are quite cheap but look great and have some added value.
A corporate gift is not necessarily expensive. It all depends on the needs and purposes. Sometimes we pack caps, sun-glasses, books or whatever is required, but recommend all logo items to be given to clients, not personnel.
None of these ideas are available online. They are always tailor-made and need some prior consultion.
A while ago a private landlord ordered several huge housewarming gifts. They were for their new tenants whom he wanted to feel welcome in their new homes. In general, housewarming gifts are not rare, but usually orderd by friends or family. Most often people order birthday gifts, and Mother's and Father's Days are clear peaks.
An appreciated idea is to have a small gift for seminar participants. Budgets have varied a lot in these. Often people thank speakers in seminars or webinars afterwards or at the venue by a nice gourmet gift. We have prepared these gifts to some people in high places as well.
International travel agents have thanked stakeholders or clients in Finland, and sometimes a gift has been sent to a tourist on an exclusive trip in Lapland.
One typical form of gifting are raffles, we have made a lot of these. We have shipped raffle gifts to trade shows or consumer fairs, but often the party arranging the raffle just orders gifts online to the happy winners. We seldom donate gifts for raffles.
During the pandemic, we were busy the whole time. We made Team Gifts, Thank you Bags etc. Gift Gourmet participated in an international project called Operation Gifting, where gift basket entrepreneurs made gifts for nurses and other health care professionals as a sign of support. Gift Gourmet donated several gift boxes and challenged many others to join. The charity was successful and about 800 nurses got treats though this campaign. The gifts are still in our portfolio and available online, as many people go to hospital, get good treatment and care, and want to thank the health care personnel. These gifts are excellent as office gifts as well, as they contain shareable treats for staff.
As a rule, practical and cost-efficient boxes and bags have become more popular each year. Fabulous gift baskets still have a strong position.
Many people use just the recipient's name and contact information. However, that is not recommended. You should use your own name and contact info when ordering (Billing Address). Only add the recipient's name and address to the other box (Delivery Address). We often have additional questions concerning the order, and without correct information it is not possible to get the answers. A copy of the invoice will be sent to the client, and that should not to go the the gift recipient! Additionally, we enter the names of our clients to our accounting system, but we never collect or store any information of the recipients.

We ship gifts within the EU. We can't guarantee any specific delivery dates. In Finland we use the Postal Services (Posti).
Please note, after shipping all contacts with the recipient are handled and made by the Postal Services and Gift Gourmet has no power in speeding up delivery or any other matter concerning the delivery! You will get a tracking code in an automated email when the gift is shipped. Check that out first, and only if there is a problem contact our customer service. If the recipient's phone number is not correct, the gift delivery will be delayed or canceled.
In the Helsinki area (Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Kauniainen) we also offer our courier service for deliveries, and that service allows specific delivery dates.
Always include the recipient's local Finnish mobile number (+358-) in the order!
In case of an error in recipient´s contact information the gift might not be delivered, or there will be a significant delay.
We will charge €15 service fee for any corrections in recipients´ contact information that we need to make into the Postal Services´ system after the gift has been shipped from us.
Therefore, check and recheck the contact info and especially the phone number. Local mobile phone numbers start with a 0, unless there is the international country code +358. This is a recurring problem! Please make sure you have the phone number in a correct form, and that you have entered the recipient's phone, not yours.
In Finland, the Postal Services need to reach the recipient, packages are not left to a neighbour, or on a doorstep, and their system is fully automated with SMS's. Thank you for your cooperation!
There are two ways to order a card.
When in the shopping cart, on the first page, click the link at the bottom on the left. It says CHOOSE A CARD, RIBBON, BASKET & CELLOPHANE.
By clicking that link, a new page opens and you may choose a card. On the space just below, you may add the text to be printed on the card.
You may also choose a card as a product (code 997, or from product listings where available). If you chose a card as a product, you may write the text on the additional text field in the shopping cart, on the last page, just before you finalize the order.
If you forget that, send us the text by email (info@giftgourmet.fi) and mention the order # and your name.
And if you choose a card twice accidentally, we will add some items in the gift to fill the value.
All cards are made individually. We use your text, add a picture, print the card and laminate it.
In Finland we have a government alcohol monopoly and thus we can't sell alcohol. We don't have any supply of wines or other alchol!
However, we can pack a bottle, but it must be purchased by the customer. If you happen to be in Finland you may order a bottle from Alko (the government alcohol store) webshop, and ask it to be picked up from Helsinki Herttoniemi Alko or you may just bring it to us. If there are many bottles, you should have them shipped to us. However, we have been told by our foreign customers that the Alko store is not accessible without Finnish bank codes for security reasons, so purchase from outside Finland may not be possible.
We can make any gift vegan, gluten-free or lactose-free. Any allergies can be considered. Please mention this in the additional text field, at the bottom of the last page of the shopping cart (you will find the text box just before you finalize the order).
If they are going to different addresses, then unfortunately no. The system allows only one delivery address / order. But if all gifts are to one address, then this is possible.
You should make your oder as soon as possible. When ordering online, you may request the delivery later, like just before Christmas.
The 2025 deadline for Christmas orders is 12th December. All orders made and/or confirmed on that date will be made on time for Christmas. The final shipping date for Christmas in 2025 is 19th December.
When an order is made or confirmed on the above mentioned date at the latest, we will deliver the gifts on time for Christmas. During the busy season, strict delivery date requests may be challenging to fulfill.
All gifts ordered after the above mentioned date will be processed and shipped in due course, either in the arrival order or as adjusted in the overall production schedule. In a very busy year, some orders may be processed only after Christmas. Usually, all gifts ordered before Christmas will also be shipped before the Holidays, but they may not be on time for Christmas. Please note no deliveries are made during 24th-26th December as Christmas in Finland is celebrated for three days.
We would prefer email when contacting us. During our peak season (Sep-Dec) we are sometimes too busy to even pick up the phone. It is also nice to have some data in writing, makes it easier to continue the service! You may also use whatsapp when contacting us, but email is always the best way!
